  • Common name: Maca
  • Source: Sun-dried hypocotils of Lepidium meyenii, a native crop grown under organic (Bio) standards in the Peruvian Central Andean plateau at 4000 meters above sea level.

TRADITIONAL USE

Cooked fresh hypocotils are part of the daily diet in native Andean communities. Also fresh Maca is used to make energy juices.

Due to its high energy properties, it is associated with improvement of male potency, libido enhancer, fertility in men and women, hormonal balancing effects, and menopause symptoms. It is also known for its memory enhancing properties and as  help to overcome depression.
